Family session (with a surprise!)

January 26th, 2015

I love this family. So far, I’ve photographed Jhanna & Ryan more than any other family (outside my own ;). When Jhanna called me to schedule this session, she said she had to tell me a few details. Her in-laws were here from out of town and they wanted to get pictures with everyone while […]

I love this family. So far, I’ve photographed Jhanna & Ryan more than any other family (outside my own ;). When Jhanna called me to schedule this session, she said she had to tell me a few details. Her in-laws were here from out of town and they wanted to get pictures with everyone while they were here, including her brother and sister-in-law. And she said that they would be surprising their family with some news. Great! I love photographing surprises.

Then, her sister-in-law Kaila called me and said that THEY would be surprising the family with some news too!

Oh boy! This was getting complicated!

But we worked out a plan, and pulled it off. This is definitely one of my favorite moments I’ve photographed so far!

First… Jhanna and Ryan told his parents they were expecting baby #2.

We let that sink in… Kaila was a little excited…

I think mom wanted to be mad at her sons for keeping the secret… but she was just too happy.

Farm Family Portraits

September 12th, 2013

In celebration of her birthday, Hannah asked me to photograph her and her pets. As a former horse owner and lover of all pets, as well as a friend of Hannah’s, I was thrilled to photograph this session for her. Little did I know how much personality each of her pets had! Here’s an outtake […]

Merry Christmas!

December 23rd, 2011

Here in Florida, it’s currently 75° with a projected high of 80°.  It doesn’t really feel like Christmas to me.  I love being snuggled up by a fire with my hubby during the holidays.  While I am thankful that we don’t have to worry about dealing with snow and ice, a little chill in the […]

Here are the holiday cards that we sent out to our friends and family:

And here is the front and back of the cards that went out to past and current clients.  These had a hole at the top with a ribbon so they hang on the tree as ornaments.  Chevrons are big right now, and I couldn’t resist using them on both cards.  :)

Are you graduating from college?

Well, congratulations!

Before you leave your fun college town and start your new life somewhere else, why not have a Graduation Session?  It can be a session with just you alone, or we can have it with a group of your closest friends – to commemorate your friendship and the close bond you generated through late-night study sessions and commiserating about classes together.  ;)  You don’t want to leave this phase of your life without documenting this monumental achievement.  Let’s go take some pictures!

Graduation

May 12th, 2010

All four of these lovely ladies graduated from the University of Florida this spring with graduate degrees.  To commemorate the occasion, and their friendship, before they move to different areas of the country and on with their lives (*sniff*sniff*) they wanted to do a graduation session together.  I’ve gotten to know these ladies for various […]

All four of these lovely ladies graduated from the University of Florida this spring with graduate degrees.  To commemorate the occasion, and their friendship, before they move to different areas of the country and on with their lives (*sniff*sniff*) they wanted to do a graduation session together.  I’ve gotten to know these ladies for various reasons and they are some of the sweetest people I know.  I had such a great time with them that evening, I stayed with them and shot much later than I’d planned.  We were having that much fun!

We started at the University of Florida football stadium – The Swamp!
